  • What is the Club organizational structure?

Bavarian United SC, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and is governed by a twelve member board of directors.

  • How do I determine my U level?

“U” stands for ‘under’. Determine your U level by taking the year the season ends minus birth year, so for the 2021- 2022 season if your child was born in 2015 you will sign up for 7U (7 and under). For example 2022–2015 = 7U

  • Will all teams have access to an app for team information?

You bet. Bavarian United SC uses PlayMetrics for all registrations and team mobile communications.

  • What is Rec soccer?

Rec players are placed on teams with classmates, friends and other players looking to enjoy the beautiful game of soccer! Volunteer parent coaches, under the guidance of Bavarian United SC Rec Director Jon Coleman, teach the fundamentals of soccer while placing the focus on having fun, learning the game, fitness, and fair play.

  • How much does Rec cost?

The registration fee is $375 and includes a $100 per family volunteer fee, which can be earned back after volunteering 4 or more hours with the club. For families with multiple Rec players the cost is $375 for the first Rec player and $275 for each additional Rec player in your family, with $100 refundable once volunteer hours are completed. The team uniform (jersey, shorts and socks) is included in your registration fee. Families will need to purchase cleats, shin guards and a soccer ball.

  • How do I register for Rec soccer?

Registration is quick and easy. Go to www.bavarianunited.com > Programs > Youth > scroll down to Rec then click on ‘Register Now’. You’ll then create an account with PlayMetrics and complete the registration.

  • How are Rec teams formed?

Teams are formed by the club based on overall registration numbers. Returning players may opt to play on their prior year team, within roster limits. New players and returning players that register after their current team roster is full will be assigned to new teams based on school location and open roster spots.

  • Are Rec game scores reported?

Results and standings are not recorded for the Bavarian United SC in-house Rec league. The goal and objective of the league is to provide enjoyment and instruction of the game of soccer. Good sportsmanship and basic fundamentals should be stressed by all coaches. Winning games should not be the primary focus. An atmosphere of learning and fun is the objective of this program.

  • How will teams be formed?

    • Recreational teams are formed by placing players on teams with classmates, friends and other players looking to enjoy the game of soccer.
    • Academy players are pooled by age/gender during the open house in June. As technical development is fluid, teams are formed after the first 2 weeks of practice and reevaluated throughout the year.
    • Premier players attend tryouts in June. Teams are formed based upon coach evaluations with the goal of placing players on teams with like-minded and equally skilled individuals.
    • Elite teams are formed based upon coach evaluations with the goal of placing players on teams with like-minded and equally skilled individuals.
  • What are the roster limits?

    6/7/8U play 4 v 4 and the maximum roster is 8 players

    9/10U play 7 v 7 with a maximum roster of 14 players

    11/12U play 9 v 9 with a maximum roster of 18

    13U play 11 v 11 with a maximum roster of 22 (18 on game day)

  • How many teams will there be in each program?

The number of teams for each program, Recreational, Academy, Premier and Elite ,will be determined by registration levels. We expect to be able to form multiple teams in each program for every age group.

  • What if we are unable to attend Open House or Tryouts?

That's okay. If you cannot attend the scheduled open house or tryout date you need to complete the open house or tryout registration and mark in the comments that you will be absent, then contact the appropriate Technical Director and let them know of your interest and to make alternate arrangements as needed.

  • Where will players have practices and games?

Bavarian United SC trains and plays games at the soccer complex and local schools and parks. Our goal is to keep the recreational practices as close as possible to the player’s neighborhood while games will be played in metro-Milwaukee. For away games, Academy teams will play in southeast Wisconsin and Premier and Elite teams will play throughout Wisconsin, the Midwest and nationally. Team travel schedules depend upon exact league placement which will be determined by the team coach and director.

  • What league and tournaments does each program participate in?

The program director, along with the team coach, make the selection on league placement and tournament play based on providing the most appropriate level of competition for each team. The cost is included in the registration fees. Premier players pay additional travel costs.

  • What uniform will be worn?

Our team unifroms are ordered through Stefans Soccer. Rec uniforms are included in player fees with new uniforms supplied every year. We are mid-way through the two-year Adidas uniform cylce for Academy, Premier, and Elite players. This means that we will remain in the 2021-2022 uniform for the 2022-2023 season.
