Player Development Curriculum

The primary goals of Bavarian United SC is player development and creating an environment that encourages our players to remain with the club as they progress to higher, more competitive levels. The coaches will emphasize player development, while teaching technical & tactical skills that make up a complete player. We want them to learn soccer skills and develop the stamina, self-discipline, and confidence to play soccer at a high level.

Commitment Level

Soccer is a team sport and requires a commitment from all players on the team to attend practices and games. The expectation is to work hard together to improve both the individual and team level of play. Your child will be expected to attend practices and games regularly - missing only occasionally. They should also be able to follow instructions from the coaching staff and work hard during practices and games. Players need to be responsible for bringing all appropriate equipment and uniforms to practices and games, including soccer shoes, shin guards, water bottles, soccer ball, all parts of the standard uniform, etc. Players also need to let their coach know when they will miss a practice or game, as far in advance as possible.

Teams play 7 to 9 league games in the WYSA State League or SECL League during both Fall and Spring Seasons. Most games are in the Metro-Milwaukee area. Teams will play 1 to 2 league games in the Madison, Appleton or Racine areas. If you are placed on a National Academy League or USYS Midwest Conference team league play is regional (WI, IL, IN, MI, OH) and showcase events.

Teams will select tournaments from a list recommended by the Director of Coaching. They will participate in 3 tournaments in the Fall and Spring Season. Teams could travel to tournaments during spring break and/or holiday weekends.

Club-wide designated tournaments will be attended by all appropriate competitive teams. One tournament each season will likely involve weekend overnight travel.
